Evangelism We at Abundant Life believe that Evangelism is more than our responsibility; it is our great privilege! Abundant Life exists to communicate God’s Word. We are ambassadors for Christ, and our mission is to evangelize the world. We take very seriously Christ’s command to “go” into the highways and byways and compel them to come in so that His house can be full. The task of Evangelism is so important that the Great Commission is included in the New Testament five different times, one in each of the gospels and one in the book of Acts. In Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47-49, John 20:21, and Acts 1:8, Jesus commissions us to go and tell the world the message of salvation. We invite you to join us as we endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission in our community and around the world. Here are several ways for you to find your ministry and fulfill your purpose of Evangelism: Outreach Events – We have many outlets to introduce our community to Abundant Life. From the Messiah Easter drama to Connect Points to Revival Services to Block Parties to Adopt-a-Block to Door-to-Door Invitations, there are endless opportunities for you to invite someone to experience Abundant Life. Hospitality – Every service our hospitality team stands ready to open doors, park cars, help find seats, welcome people, serve coffee, give tours, smile, and make guests and members alike feel they are special and know we are glad they are here. Follow-up – We feel like it is important that after a person visits Abundant Life we contact them to let them know that we appreciate them and we would love to see them become a part of our church family.
Nursery – Building Blocks Daycare Ministry, Inc. helps us facilitate a dynamic Nursery Ministry. We believe it’s necessary to provide a safe, loving environment for babies and toddlers so parents are free to worship without worrying if their children’s needs are met. International Ministry – Our community is rapidly growing into one that represents many nations and cultures, and we believe the church should do the same. We are reaching out to the growing African, Spanish-speaking, Burmese, and other Asian communities that call Fort Wayne home. Angel Food – This is a ministry that touches us all. Everyone can be a part of this grocery relief effort and benefit from the Angel Food Ministry. Please click on the Angel Food tab for more information on how to get involved with this great ministry.
